No, you don't. You will have to change the plumbing under your sink. You probably have a double sink and underneath you will find piping connecting the two drains then going into the trap and then out to the sewer or septic. If you have a home improvement or hardware store you can buy a replacement piece for the part tying the sinks together. The new part will have an extra connection for you to attach the hose from the dishwasher.

No- I hired a man to install my dishwasher and he didn't use a garbage disposal. He used wrenches and things, but definitely no garbage disposal. Are you blonde? I am.

As an aside, everyone knows you don't need to rinse the plates before you put them in the dishwasher. You let the dog lick them clean.

No. I have had a dishwaser for years and a disposal is not necessary. Still a good idea to scrape your dishes real well before putting in the dishwasher.

No you don't. Dishwashers have a device in them to break up soft food particles so they don't clog the water recycling system in the dishwasher. It is still a good idea to scape the dishes before loading them.

No, you just need access to your sink drain for the waste water. Also don't put any food scraps into the dishwasher as they could end up blocking your drain.
