Go to dell.com, they have chat tech support (you might have to try once or twice, since some of their techs are mentally challenged).

I prefer the chat to calling, because there is usually no hold time, and as long as you aren't asking anything too high tech, they can usually help you, or get the answer from someone else.

The volume can be controled with by holding down the Fn key (lower left of the keyboard) and pressing the Page Up or Page Dn (upper right) or muted with the End key.

Dell makes an internal card (1370) for the D seriesr laptops. You can get it at Dell.com

Or you can use any PC Card Wireless card. Goes in the slot on the left side in fron to the headset jack. Or use a USB card. All brands are basically the same. If you already have a wireless router, get a card of the same brand.

there isn't a volume knob on the latop if you are wondering. There might be a AV Board next to the power switch. Most of the time there is just a little sound board attached to the MB inside the unit and 1 or 2 speakers facing you under the touchpad. If you need more volume just go >start>programs>accesscories>entertainment volume control.
If more is needed go to control panel>sounds and devices and move the slide bar
