Would someone be able to give me a good, straight to the point sample of a follow up letter for a phone interview I had today?

I have communicated with the HR manager serveral times via email about the position (entry level marketing coordinator) and she called me today for a phone screening. I think it went pretty well and I want to make sure that I stay on good terms with her.

Also, when would be the approiate time to send out the email? My interview was about an hour ago.

any suggestions?

thanks!

Hi, I'm in HR. Did they ask you to come in for an in-person interview on the phone? If they did, then you don't follow up yet. You can do this after your interview. If they didn't set anything up yet, you should email her by the end of the day today. Let her know that you enjoyed speaking about the position and hope that you'll be able to come in to discuss it further in person. Point out a couple of things that are of particular interest to you. I'd say you should email around 3pm. Good luck.

Did she schedule an in-person interview? You know it went well once they tell you after the phone interview that they want to interview you in person. If she gave you the line about "We're still interviewing applicants, blah blah blah", then it didn't go as well as you thought. She was just being nice. I'm not saying it to upset you. I've just gone through the same thing.

next day or two, thank them for their time, express interest in the position, and say hope you can progress further with the process
