mines a 75 chevy truck, how hard would it be to switch the secondaries to mechanical on the 4 barrel?

It's easy, but why would you want too? This carb. is a very good one for ease of service and performance. The thing to do would be to remove the vac. break rod to the secondaries which would cut a lot of the delay of when the fuel starts to flow out of the secondary meter. Or remove the secondary plate in the top of the carb. I really think you are biting off more than you can chew here as this carb. is designed to work and work well with these in place. If you want to try a new type of carb., good luck as the Rochester is by far superior. Good luck .
