I have a blackberry pearl, and I'm impressed by it. Not to knock, Treo, or Pocket PC, but it's made significant improvements. I have a camera which I take lots of pictures, I'm able to store mp3s, full length movies, and even YouTube clips on my phone. As for games, I'm a Texas-Hold'em and Sudoku junkie. Don't really need a GPS, but you can get that with the brand-spanking new 8800. I used to play on my brother's Treo then, his Pocket PC, and I could never get into the bulkiness of it. But ever since this pearl came along, I can't keep my hands off it.

I am a Palm treo user , so this is my opinion, I may be wrong on some aspects , and Blackberry might have improved things on the newer models , so you should get the specifics fromthe Websites . but in general this is what I think
Good things abt blackberry :
1) Easy to use , e.g scrolling with a scroll wheel through emails.
2) Good for business use, in conjunction with microsoft exchange server etc. Many companies prefer it , so you see lot of execs with blackberries.
3) Well organized icons
4) sleek and much lighter than palm
Bad things about Blacberry :
1) There are not very many cool aps for Blackberry as there are for palm , I might be wrong.
2) Mutlimedia support is not as good as it is for palm. I play /record video , photos music etc. This was not possible in some blackberries I have seen.
3) Bluetooth support not extensive, e.g I use bluetooth GPS which connects to my palm and I use my Palm for navigation. I dont think this is possible with Blackberry.
Having said this, I think people with BBerry swear by it, I think mainly because of its simplicity and ease of use, and Palm is a little bulky. But I can spend a whole day with my palm , watching songs or movies , navigating to places etc . I am waiting for I-phone actually now .
