Hi katieg aim big and work hard towards them your individual dreams. If you love to be a counselor then go ahead :) Life is about making decision. There are no right or wrong decision. Just that some of the decision can lead to good and bad. Imagine you don't know whether to drive your car straight or turn left. In the end you will still need to choose one. If you drive straight and realize that it is the wrong path then you should make a U-turn as soon as possible. You get it ???

Life is complicated. There are many people who have worked for years at one job and still do not know what direction their life is headed in, so don't get discouraged. As for the "guaranteed" career, there is no such thing unless you start your own business, and there is still no guarantee there. If you would like to work with children, I would suggest applying at some summer camps, which should begin accepting applications soon. This will give you a better idea if that is really your forte. Also, you can find some inexpensive courses that you can take online. These will give you some options that you can pursue as well.

They offer many courses at reasonable rates.

I hope this helps.

Whats your hurry? Do what you love..What inspires you? You spoke of wanting kids in another question of yours.. Maybe you can start your own daycare... My girl friend did and its great for her.. She is friends with many moms and is now able to be with her son too..The only thing is that you will live your job everyday because you are needed and must work 5 days and tied down.. Think about what you really want and go get it..Its the only way. Dont worry dont think just do..Who says you must work for someone else? Work for yourself..Start your own business.. I did..Its a big move but its wonderful..I'm my own boss and have been for 12 years I'm 31 now. Follow your dreams. Its the only way to be happy.. If you want it go and get it.. good luck Everything will change when you have kids..Are you going to be a stay at home mom? or work? What does your man think? All important when making your decision..hopefully he supports you in all ways. as he should.. Life is only what you make of it... Make it simple and it will be.. Be happy and you will. Do as you dream the rest will follow in time..Good luck

Follow your interests and determine if you have an aptitude for that field. If you go to a trade school or any other private training program, make sure they offer some kind of job placement assistance after graduation, else do not use their services.

sounds like what you need to do is look around at the options in and around your town for correspondance courses......go in and talk to the academic advisors.......they are trained for this.......tell them what interests you.........ask what they have there that THEY can offer you......it's their job to sell you on their school..why it is the best option..........approach several...........colleges both public and private.......explore all avenues open to you ....then when you have the information........look it all over...weigh the options..the pros and cons and choose from there............I know it's tough to be at a crossroads like that........ so many possibilities it's hard to settle on just one...to know that it's the right choice for you..........just remember it's ok to start something decide it is not for you and move on to something else..........we only fail if we stop trying...and it sounds like you are not giving up that you want to go somewhere just a matter of discovering where that somewhere is.....take the first step and learn your options...good luck

no guarantees in life. take one class in social work, see if you like it. talk to people in the field and learn about what they do, what the job market is like, what kind of training you'll need.

When we begin the university, we seldon don´t know what the future prepares for us, but we remain studing. So, do what you like and you´re prepared for without worring about the future. If you like what you do, you do well and fatally win.
