I always here about them and the weather on TV, do they forecast when the best time/temperature is to kill livestock?

Or the best temp for chickens to lay eggs?

I'm confused by this.

I think what you're more confused about is how to tell a good joke. This one was not funny. Booooooooooo.

I dont think you are confused, I think you are just trying to be funny.

Any way yes they do forecast the weather, sometimes they are asked to give advice, for instance if its safe to have a marathon organised while the sun will burn a lot that day

They forecast the weather
They have nothing to do with livestock

Actually they're even less useful than that! I think they're just guys who sit in open fields and wait for a meteor to hit. Then they run and tell the villagers.
