Are there any antivirus programs that kills viruses such that it won't show up again, even after you restart the computer? i just got a number of viruses here in my pc that got discovered just today (by AVG, but not by Windows defender). the problem is that AVG pops a window with a virus detection and lets you decide on what to do with it. i ran a scan and discovered around 10 of them, healed them, then restarted the pc. again, the viruses were back and now i quarantined them. i'm afraid that if i restart again, the same thing will happen (i think a program loading when the os starts causes this problem), as if there was no scan that happened previously. Is there an antivirus that will actually KILL it and REMOVE IT PERMANENTLY (even if it means causing the infected file to be removed PERMANENTLY)? Please recommend some even if it means professional (or paid) versions... or does it really mean that the only solutions are the last resorts like registry editing and reformatting??

dont install every antivirus that comes around... go to http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

and see that AVG is 8th in row.why? see why. i have Bitdefender for 3 months and i am very sutisfied! if it can disinfect the file, for sure does something else like move it,or quarantined it. if it all the time in your taskbar running you dont have to be afraid of anything.and plus if you have any problem you can go to its official website and talk live with one of its assistants .

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

1 Remove the virus files from the AVG vault.
Update AVG daily
Avg should be a resident program ( in TaskBar)
and scans online for viruses
when you are on internet..
2. At least once a week run a full scan .
3 Use FireFox Browser to reduce virus attacks
to a great extent.
4. You can Use Yahoo FFtoolbar with YahooAntispy.
In IE the YTB option is Norton free trial for 90 days.

Para two : If you have differenrt e mail accts use this program
ePrompter from www.ePrompter.com.
Read the header/s sender / subject
Delete all email which appear spam to you
and from unknown people.
Forward your email with attachments to your
YahooMail
or Hotmail and scan for virus there.
Para three: AdvancedWindowsCareV2Personal ( free)
from www.iobit.com is also a good OneClick
Program.

(1) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode
(2) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .

then run avg in safe mode

AVG should remove it... try rebooting again.. google the virus that u are finding, maybe that it needs special attention (booting in SAFE mode then removing)

try an online scanner (Trendmicro.com) has Housecall which is free online scanner.

AVAST is another good antivirus, FREE as well

single virus scanner is not a catch all, but if it gets in the quarantined section, then ur pretty safe.

Who, I absolutely do not comprehend who you're speaking about. The Chicago thug on trial is Blagovitch and he's about to pass to penal complicated. Obama were given bin weighted down and remains cleansing up Bush/ Cheney's mess. All i'm able to say is the Republicans were very reliable for the Dem's. thanks for the present of Ryan and Palin.

reformatin your pc is a last resort and not advised unless you have very very serious problems.
in your case not any help

you will be better off gettin a better program
avg is lacking in detection and protection compared to others (independant and lab tests)
www.housecall.trendmicro.com
free online scan will clean up your pc

get kaspersky, mcafee, norton or bitdefender either will protect you better
