I'm just curious because whenever I use facts, reason, logic, and scientific evidence in a debate they cower in fear, then run away.

Well Matt, later you're going to find out that the most interesting people live and learn...during this process things you hold true as a value change as you encounter more experiences. What seems logical today to you...definitely flips flops as you get exposed to hypocrisies and other stuff behind the curtains. Also remember Zealots are really boring people.

Odd. The same happens to me when I use facts, reason, logic, and scientific evidence in a debate with conservatives, except their faces melt off and then their heads explode. Similar to "Raiders Of The Lost Ark"; it really freaks you out the first few times you see it, then it becomes kind of an entertaining experience in a disturbing way.
Actually, that doesn't happen with ALL liberals or conservatives, just those that haven't bothered to defend their positions with any competency. It's fair if we don't reach the same conclusions, but we should at least be reading the same page.

For the words "facts, reason, logic and scientific evidence" to come out of the mouth of a Neocon is absolutely laughable !! If a single raw fact were to ever penetrate NeoconLand the illusion would cave in on itself !!
And, I wouldn't be struting too boldly about your "running off" anyone in "fear" -- people are probably simply LEAVING the scene out of shear discust and boredom !!!

Is a complete absence of facts, logic and scientific evidence the basis for all Republican policy? Whenever i use facts, logic and evidence Reps start ranting about invading other countries and erroding our civil liberties.

Even forgetting the hearth that the Feds set at Waco, no remember if by skill of twist of destiny or not, they nonetheless fired hundreds of rounds into the dept Davidian compound and then gassed anybody for hours, keen on the sake of the youngsters!
