Check it out...in today's society, there is way too much emphasis on having thee perfect body, right? Well, being a gay guy, it seems as though there is much more pressure on me to be "perfect." Have the perfect set of abs, calves, butt, etc...and I'm not saying that I'm all obese and disgusting, I'm just not the next abercrombie and fitch model...I'm a handsome guy, I've been told, but it seems that my personality and the deeper things I have to offer don't matter all that much when to a guy that I'm interested in or whatever...I am yet to meeth that one guy that like me for what I have to offer right there and then...so is it me, or is there some truth to my logic?

Greetings from Canada!

I liked your question - it's open - it's an honest query - and it holds a sense of inquiry which is worth responding to.

Gym-bunnies - especially the gay ones are the 'worst' when it comes to obsession. I find they strive for that 'perfect body' and they work very hard to get it. I think in doing so, they lose the fat off their body, and it goes 'straight to their heads'. A sense of 'arrogance' takes over their being. I figure that they believe they work hard at getting that perfect body, those who don't are mere 'droppings' and 'not worth their time or effort'.

Sad but true, but as the fat is replaced by attitude and muscle is packed on, shining through their arrogance, well it's a wonder that many cannot tolerate this type of species.

Thanks for the question - it was rather enjoyable to answer.

Cheers,

bga

I don't know if I'd put that entire cross on the gay community. There seems to have been a surge in shallowness among the world at large lately. Sad, but true.

Everyone wants to put their best foot forward, make a good first impression. Besides, mammals are all hard-wired to have to make snap judgments on first-sight. It may seem shallow, but it's probably a survival characteristic.

No when I was a child my best friends dad turned gay. Him and his partner were probably two of the most thoughtful people that I have ever met.

It's you.

The gay men I know are not shallow. They're loving, they're loyal, they're quick to help out, and most of all they're accepting of any and every one.

You will never see a straight guy ask that question seriously. You are definitely gay. I don't give two shyts. Maybe you should be straight instead since you don't like being gay.
