I was wondering who could tell me on average how much a RN can make ( starting salary ) a year. If anyone knows the salary for a RN in NJ, that would be awesome too!

Around 50k your first year. After that, you should be able to work more independently and pick up overtime/night shifts/etc. You can easily make over 60k. Not sure about NJ, though. I think monster.com has a salary calculator.
