The Omen, Halloween, When a Stranger Calls

and of course, Psycho (which I think still holds a candle to current horror flicks)

The Haunting. It probably affected me most because I saw it when I was pretty young (it came out, I think, in 1964). It's a b/w movie about some psychics who are invited by a paranormal scientist to stay in a haunted house. There are no special effects.

Spoiler scene: when the two women are sharing a bedroom and sleeping in twin beds with a table between them. One gets really scared and asks the other if she will hold her hand. She eventually starts to freak out and turns the lights on and the other woman is sound asleep, and she realizes that what was holding her hand for the last 10 minutes was not human...

When I was a kid, I was scared by ALL of them. Literally. I couldn’t even go in to the Halloween section in Wal-Mart because the monster masks scared me so bad. But the thing that scared me the most were vampires. Them and Freddy from A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Interestingly enough, I believe living in abject terror like that scared all the fear outta me. Cause nowadays, nothing scares me. I’ll get surprised or shocked, like when a horror movie villain jumps on scene unexpectedly, but nothing has really left me scared.

Halloween II freaked me out, but only because I think I was really young when I first saw it.

P.S. I find it interesting to hear that Stephen King's It is very scary, but I have never seen it. I borrowed it from my aunt, though, and I am planning on watching it sometime in the next couple of days. Then I can have my own opinion of the movie.

*The Birds
*Pet Cemetery(the little kids running around)
*Peanut Butter Solution(I couldn't sleep for days)(did I mention I was not your average kid?! LOL!)
*Abducted
*There was another movie we watched that had this doll that came to life(kind of like Chuckie). I cannot remember what it was called, but this thing chased this woman into the bathroom and he was like shoving a knife under the door. She was trying to put the rug there. Scared the crap out of me!
*IT by Stephen King. That Clown!

I watched the Exorcist when I was like 13 and thought it was dumb, however I watched it a few years ago and it creeped me out greatly!

IT, The Poltergeist, Child's Play, the first & original Nightmare on Elm Street & I know this is retarded but Killer Clowns from OuterSpace. Dude any scary looking clown freaked the hell out of me as a kid. But I do have to say that to this day the movie Poltergeist still freaks me out.

I never saw any horror movies as a kid,but some horror shows scared me,

goosebumps-that episode with the lawn knomes
are you afraid of the dark-the one with the evil comicbook clown

oh, I was scarred seeing Violet Beauregard turn into a blueberry in Willy Wonka, guess that's part of my fear of gaining weight.
Don't give me a thumbs down, I like my body and I'm fine if you like yours.
