I am going to Vegas for the first time in April. We are flying (I have never even been on a plane, hahaha!). What do you enjoy in Vegas? Do you like the parks or the Strip? Where is your favorite place to eat, etc? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

When i went I was only one The Strip. Next time I am checking out Freemont Street. Watch the fountain show at Bellagio, the Siren show at Treasure Island, pretty much anyone can tell you what time these go on (and they're free). You have to go inside the Venitian mall, the Forum mall, the Bellagio conservatory, just because they look so cool. The Alladin Mall, NY NY and Paris also are cool to visit. I stayed at Circus Circus so I enjoyed the circus acts that go on every 1/2 hour. I just ate what was cheap or in my hotel.

Hope this helps:

I'm a native here, lived in Vegas all my life!
Of course things are different from my perspective as to someone visiting; but here are some things that I find fun.

what do you enjoy in Vegas?
*Roller-coaster junkie? Check out The Adventure Dome at Circus Circus. Tickets are pretty pricey for not having that many rides. I believe they're 21 dollars. They have a few rides and offer about 4 hours of fun.

*Eating:
Chinese: PF Changs- by far.
Fremont Street Experience has all types of foods, shows, drunken people, etc.
Cheesecake Factory- delicious.

There are also a few good places in the casinos. I'd stick to The Venetian (a little pricey), Treasure Island, or Wynn.
---

I personally think the Strip is over-rated. Everything is overpriced but the experience can be worth it. Going with a spouse or loved one?

At the Bellagio they offer a carriage ride at night around the Strip and during the water-show in front of the Bellagio.

April is usually our rain month- but it sticks to a week. Otherwise bring bathing suits! It's always hot down here.

xo.

I live in Vegas so you should go to the strip at night preferrably on a weekend. It's so fun! You could just walk for hours there and see so much! When you are walking stop by the Bellagio to see the water show that goes every 15 mins. It is the best free show in the strip! The Treasure Island also has a show outside. It's like a ship fight. It's pretty cool. I think it goes every half hour on the hour. You could go to a night club, those are of course fun! I would suggest JET in The Mirage. On the strip there is an Outback Steakhouse that you can eat at. I would suggest go and put your name on the wait list about 45 mins before you want to eat and then go to Coca-Cola factory and M&M world while you wait (they are right next door to the Outback). Hope this helps! Have fun!

Hi there. Not only have I been to Vegas but I live here as well, *smiles*.
Being a local the strip is over-rated. Its nice and most def. something to be seen in your lifetime. Its crowded though and everything is over-priced.

Other cool things to do and places to eat:

The Palms casino
Red Rock Casino
Fremont Street Experience (I suggest getting a fried twinkie and/or a fried oreo from Mermaids! They are only a $1)
Cheesecake Factory (on and off the strip)
California Pizza Kitchen (located in the Fashion Show Mall....that mall is awesome. Its where I do all my shopping)
Osaka (best sushi and tepanyaki grill in town)
Fatburger (if you've never been to the west coast...try it! YUM)

I was ín vegas and I loved the strip. Just walk through just about every hotell and do all musts and watch all the action. There is so much to see and do that youre going to miss half of it!

My top list: Star Trek experience at lv hilton, hotel rios buffe, ceasars shopping area, flamingos animals, MGM grand, strathospere for the view on top, and the venetian. Dont forget to shop! LV is a shoppers paradise! If youre in to some rare kind of shopping or interest its a good chanse that you might find it here! Have fun, relax and do some gambling! Johan

I love the Strip! Go downtown at night for the light show. Hoover dam is 40 minutes away and you take the tour you go thru the dam and all the way to the bottom of it. I like the brunch buffett in the basement of the Luxor. The RIO has a neat Mardi GRAS show that goes over the floor of the casino and they throw out beads to people. We also do lots of walking from casino to casino just looking at everything. Have fun!!

First time I went to Vegas, all i want to do was to go hotel/casino hopping. It's fun and yet so tiring. After that i like to try different buffet restaurants. my personl fave is Bellagio, but it's a bit pricey. I just like to stay on the strip because that's where everything is. Make time to stop at Bellagio water show (it's free) at night and watch it. It's really nice. Plus if you like going to clubs, you should go to Pure @Cesar Palace or Rain @ palm, who knows you might see a celebrity. Have Fun.!
