If he had a vasectomy then the chances of you getting pregnant with him are slim to none. You can find another BF, who wants kids. Or your BF can have a reversal done.

A legitimate and biologically correct answer to the question is no. A vasectomy cuts or clamps the vas deferens from each testicle denying the sperm access to mixing with the semen. If I remember correctly from class, the effectiveness of a vesectomy is around 99.8%, meaning that only 1 to 2 women out of 1,000 will accidentally get pregnant. In the same breath, I must suggest you check to make sure he had his vasectomy! And it takes a few months for the sperm to all be ejaculated or reabsorbed into the body, which is what normally happens to sperm. In order to confirm this, he has to have follow up visits to check his sperm count and make sure that it is virtually 0, because even one sperm will get you pregnant. And if you want to reverse it, he can have a vasovasostomy and have the vas deferens unclamped or reattahed, so watch out! Hope this helps, and good luck!

I would be on the pill, just to be sure. I've heard of guys who use the "I'm sterile" thing before, and they have some lovely illegitimate children.
BTW, most doctors won't just perform a vasectomy on any guy. If your boyfriend is in his thirties, has previously been married and/or has at least a few children, yes, it's quite possible he's had a vasectomy. If he's never been married, or has no kids, it's still possible, but is unlikely.
If he's in college or his early twenties and has never been married or has never had children, it's likely he's lying.

first i'm not sure your age but if you guys are young i'd be careful that he telling you the truth or not, second if he did have an operation that will not protect you from STDS so that is still another reason to use protection.
yet if he did have a ves. depending on how long ago yes you can get pregant-despite what others have said it can happen.

Sure you can get pregnant, but not with him. If he's a teenager, and he told you he had an operation, don't believe him. Most doctors would never perform that surgery on someone so young. He just wants to get in your pants.

The name of the operation is a vasectomy. Ask him for proof. Don't believe anyone these days.

Every time I hear this it makes me concerned that this is something the bf is saying just so he doesnt have to use protection. I would want proof that the Vasectomy was done. You also need to protect yourself from std's make him wrap it every time. However to answer your question visit. www.Vasectomy.com

Yes even though he had a vasectomy there is still a slim chance that you can get pregnant. It happened to my friends parents.

If he had the operation (get proof ) no, not with him. However if you and your boyfriend still want children, the operation can be reverced.
