Christian whites, clergy men and Jews (who, from past history knew what this was like) also supported the movement. Canadians played a major role in providing a safe haven in Canada and freedom for escaped slaves. The B.M.E. Church (a black church built in Canada by former slaves) in St Catharines Ontario Canada is where Harriet Tubman started and worked out of, for her under-ground railroad. Black leaders could not work towards abolishon without first having a safe and FREE environment to work from. The building still stands and is a black history museum. Those slaves who made it to Canada also worked from Canada along with Canadian whites, to help others to escape and supported the abolishion of slavery movement. These people pressured Lincoln and congress to abolish slavery. Yet Canada, who played a major part in this, rarely if ever gets any credit or mention!!!

It isn't "WHO?"; it is "WHAT?" It was the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 that freed SOME Black people from slavery and the Union's victory over the Confederacy's loss in the Civil War that freed the rest of Black people from slavery (Thank GOD!!!!). If it wasn't for the Union winning the Civil War in 1865, our people would STILL be in slavery and uneducated sayin' $hit like, "Yes, suh, massuh! I'm gone fetch you a clean glass of ice cold water just how ya like it!" I'm VERY thankful to God for THAT so that our people TODAY wouldn't have to perform physical labor for some redneck bastards who're to goddamn lazy to grow their own goddamn crops, fix their own food, wash their own clothes, and get rid of their own goddamn human wastes!

Who free the Black People form Slavery. Are you saying that he who freed the black people formed slavery to our system of free economics and we are "slaves" formed due to the inherent flaws with our system??????? Or is it you have no grasp of sentence structure.

The simple answer is Abraham Lincoln. A more complex answer would include all the people in the US that worked and fought against it preceding and during the Civil War. On the other hand slavery exists in many forms in many countries currently.

Where do you mean? In many parts of the world today, slavery is still practiced and while many in addition to blacks are slaves, the greatest number still come from Africa.
