Yesterday, I was looking for some Classic Rock music for my son on Ebay. After putting in a search for the band Deep Purple, up came pornographic images from Ebay. My son, wife and I were quite offended. Can I report this to Ebay or stop it by some other means? Serious answers only please. Thank you.

these are very common listings on ebay. the whole point is to get your attention and make you click on the auction.

they are actually REDIRECTS to get you to sign in and give away your password.

they are listed on HIJACKED ACCOUNTS. ebay doesn't know they are there until they get reported.

when you see these, you need to REPORT them. they will be taken down rather quickly.

BTW, knowing this as you now do, you really should not be viewing ebay with a child present or a wife that will be offended.

there is no way to block them.

According to eBay Help:

By viewing Mature Audiences listings, you indicate that you are of legal age in your community and have the right to view products intended for mature audiences. You also agree that the listings in Mature Audiences do not violate your community standards. **Please do not visit this section if you do not want to see explicit materials.** Sellers may link to graphics on their own site, and sellers act as the sole publisher of such material, even if it appears within the context of a listing on eBay.

Also, if you've recently gone through the "ID Verify" process, this has given you access to the mature material.

Unfortunately, from what I can tell, you can't tell it not to bring up adult material when you've already verified that you're an adult. I may be wrong, so look around in the advanced search options and such.

Hope this helps...
