I always had low blood pressure and yes, it can make you very dizzy but the good news is that with a low blood pressure there is no danger for the baby. To help increase your blood pressure you should drink pleny of fluids esspecially water and eat red meat as well.Red wine helps as well but you should wait a bit longer for that or at least until you are in your second trimester and even then it should be very very little and no more than a glass a week. And you should also use real butter instead of any other spreadable.Best of luck.

That is pretty low blood pressure, but what defines 'low' really depends on what is a normal blood pressure for you. Some people have low blood pressure all the time.
Pregnancy does tend to cause lower blood pressure, especially in the first half.
It's not really dangerous, although there is a risk of injury from fainting etc.

Was your midwife concerned? She would probably have said if she thought it was a problem. It may well go up later in your pregnancy.

If your midwife couldn't answer this question for you, then you need to go to a hospital and see a real doctor!
Any healthcare provider that would let you leave their practice with that much doubt and questions about your condition is not worth going back to. Just my opinion
