Just got home from full time job to discover my neighbour who chooses not to work and is on full benefits, has had full double glazing by her housing association (landlord). I am a home owner and I know renting is throwing good money away but she doesn't pay rent anyway!!!

Its very frustrasting I know when you have to pay for something like that when countless of people get it for free. Although, some rent payers have to fork out a lot to keep a roof over their heads. The only way you can look at it is that their rented property will never be theirs fully and one day your lovely home will be all yours.

if its a housing assoc house then it is the housing assoc choice and decision to replace the windows as they hold responsibility to the upkeep and maintainance of the property, Im also sure that the benefits agency wouldnt allow this woman to just sit on her *** all day because she couldnt be bothered to work - it doesnt work like that - she either has a health related problem that prevents her working or she would be busted into finding a job through jobseekers in which you only have a certain period to find a job or your benefits get cut. It does seem unfair that all of us paying our way have to struggle - but i would rather work than be on benefits anyday - the grass isnt greener having things paid for you by a benefits agency - dont beat yourself up - i know it can be annoying.

How was your day other than this episode !! SMILEx

Look, comparing yourself to others only brings a false sense of superiority and/or unhappiness. This woman's life is different from yours in every way - don't compare yourself. Her fuel bills are being cut, so the taxpayer (you'n'me) is benefitting. Let it go, sweetheart, you're better than that.

At least you can fall back on your pride - it's more important than petty possessions anyway.
