I like Obama alot, but I think his being of color and have a muslim father will lose alot of voters in the general election. There are still alot of voters who are prejudice in this country (it is ashame).

I don't trust Hillary at all.

Although he is a Republican, my brother in the Marines and I have talked about McCain, but we both are worried about his age. If elected to two terms, he would be 80 in when he leaves office.

I really like Al Gore, but I don't think he would have a chance of being elected because he is too liberal.

Is there anyone else on the dem ticket that is worthwhile?

i love Obama. It's been a long time since I've truly been inspired by someone whehn they speak. Obama instills hope. He's definitely getting my vote, but then again i live in a blue state. unfortunately the red states aren't ready for a black president. it's 2007 already. they should be.

Obama's biggest challenge is his lack of experience, but he does have a lot of charisma. I have a feeling that this election is more of a testing the waters for him for a possible 2012 run.

Hilary is very polarizing. People either love her or they hate her.

I'm not certain that Gore has aspirations for the presidency anymore. I think he's enjoying conducting grass roots campaigns for his own personal causes, where he's only answerable to himself.

Giuliani is in a similar boat as Obama. He's charismatic, but lacks experience on the national and world stage. And it's a huge jump going from local politics to world politics, even if the city you ran was New York. Plus Giuliani will have been out of public office for close to eight years, come election day 2008.

Right now, McCain may well be the frontrunner for office, as a moderate Republican. But Election Day is still 20 months away and it's going to be a long campaign, so we'll just see...

His greatest detriment is his experience. He is a one term senator. Actually he is less than a one term senator. He was raised to pedestal by the Democrats because he is a good speaker and that's about it.

Think about it. What has he really done that is special. Yes I know he has done many good works for the underprivileged but so have many others. Democrats are trying to do what they successfully did in the 90s. Just get someone with good charisma that doesn't butcher the English language every other sentance.

Al Gore isn't running. Regan was 78 when he left office. I'm voting for Obama. I don't think his color or his Muslim father will have any bearing on his election.

Rudy Giuliani is running, I think. He's the better of all the candidates in the run for president. He handled 9/11 with tact and didn't back down or panic at all.

I will NEVER vote for either Obama or Hillary and I'm a lifelong Democrat.
