It is a reptile, it is also the largest snake in the world. The movie anaconda did nothing good for this snakes image. They don't hiss, are non venomous and can become very docile when handled by humans. They suffocate their prey by constriction IE every time the victim breathes out they squeeze tighter thus restricting the intake of air, resulting in death. They are found in the Amazon swamps like all snakes they can swim, also quite at home on land. They will inflict a very painful bite (not venomous) resulting in several stitches. Not your mother inlaws friend and not very user friendly. Hope this helped.

All snakes are reptiles. Amphibians are cold blooded vertebrates, such as frogs, toads, newts etc.,which live on land but take to the water to spawn. Also, unlike snakes,(including anacondas)they do not generally have a scaly integument.
Anacondas are semi-aquatic,in fact they're extremely good swimmers, but most definitely not, by definition amphibious.

It's a reptile because it's cold-blooded and it's a snake. Also, it has a bony skeleton, breathes through lungs, and are covered in scales, and amphibians don't have any of those.
