I don't know where you've picked up that it's poor, but I have been using Toshiba laptop for years and find it completely reliable. Far better than Compaq or Dell, which are used at my office and have all sorts of problems and customer care problems, althought perhaps Toshiba might be slightly more expensive for the same specs. A friend of mine had a messy problem with Advent...

I hope this helps!

Hi, don't buy a dell or packard bell. Advent is made by packard bell for the currys group. Don't know anyone who has compaq but toshiba is good gear. My son and I both have acers and they are great. Wouldn't buy anything else. Mine was £400 has 15.4 screen, 1.73 processor, 1gb ram, dvd re-writer, vista upgrade and intel 950GMA graphics with up to 224mb. No other on board graphics will go up to 224mb and intel only recommend the 950 for vista. My son's is similar spec but with dual core processor. Have a look at www.comet.co.uk for the acer 5611 or 5612 or 5633. One thing you get with acer is you don't get all the rubbish software that you don't need. Just bear in mind that everything is built to a budget and a cheap Sony is not necessarily better than an equally priced alternative. Also check out www.ebuyer.co.uk Hope this helps

Any toshiba laptop is good. Its the third best laptop manufacturer in the world. The first is Apple, then its Sony and the third is Toshiba.

Yes Toshiba A100-338 is in the £600 price range. You can buy it from www.currys.co.uk or www.dixons.co.uk for under £600 plus find some vouchers by going to google.co.uk and typing in currys/dixons vouchers.

I have got a Toshiba M50-159 and its great. It has excellent screen and sound quality plus it has lots of new features. It also has built in surround sound speakers. It is also very light. Its the best and I love it!!!

EAST OR WEST TOSHIBA IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
