My Kia has a V6, 2.7L engine with a 2000 lb towing capacity. Is that enough to tow my Jayco pop-up?

well if it has a 2000 lb towing capacity, how much does your pop-up weigh? Find your instruction manual on your camper, or call a dealership to find out the weight of it. Also make sure that your hitch has the same or more towing capacity. If it is an after market hitch, it could have a different towing capacity. I would think so though, I can't see a pop-up weighing much more than that.

the your best option answer is...the Kia isn't possibly outfitted for towing something on a many times happening foundation; it incredibly is extra of an get admission to-point mini-SUV for wearing mom, Dad, and a pair young ones. A 2-horse trailer with 2 horses in it would actual exceed its towing skill. beneficial, it would pull it... for a on a similar time as, incredibly... perhaps...yet many times happening towing of something that heavy will finally carry approximately untimely transmission and/or rear end issues. in short, you will tear it up. i'd look at something beefier...Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee perhaps, or something comparable in length and towing potential. I incredibly have a evade Durango; something that length would desire to handle it incredibly nicely. yet i would not do it with the Kia; or you would be observing a tranny fix bill. wish this helped.

Buy a truck if you want to tow a trailer. Those Kia's hardly have enough power to pull themselves along let alone another 3-5,000 pounds of weight.

Depends on where you tow it. I live in steep mountains and would want a bigger vehicle. If you tow it where it is flat you should be ok. If you have an automatic transmission, get a transmission cooler.
