If the coyote ever catches the roadrunner , it'll be the end of the cartoon. Cause the whole point of the cartoon is Willy trying to get the roadrunner. It's like if Tom ever manages to kill and eat Jerry.
They did a special episode once. Where willy coyote explains why he can't catch the roadrunner.

Yes, actually, he did catch the Road Runner in one episode. I think it was one of the Loony Toons movies. After he catches him, he holds up a sign that read "Now what do I do with him?"...

actally he did in one cartoon do not know the name of it and seen once or twice.....he got him self shrunk down real small grab road runners leg and said....now what do i do with him
