I must have ticked the box on the bottom to auto close after download, how do I undo that so that I have the option to open the file?

ok try to download a big file... while downloading that.. u can see the window on the scree... then u can untick the option and now when it is finished it will not close....


better use download accelerator plus... its far better than the IE downloader...

now if you wanna open the downloaded file, you may search it by using the search option available in Windows or if u have downloaded the file with the help of DAP or any other software go to the list of downloaded items & then u may load your downloaded file.Or another way is that:
Internet explorer- Tools- Internet Options-advanced tab and the check the check box displaying "Notify when downloads complete"

Open IE. Go to Tools on the menu bar and choose Internet options. Follow the signs,,;-)=

find a big download and when it starts un-check the box
