i can click on all users but that doesn't let me see my files on my user account. access is denied???????

you need to enable sharing and disable simple sharing under
tools/folder options/view/ go to very bottom under simple file sharing uncheck.

when you go to the folder right click and properties.
sharing. there is a box to take ownership and then you can give yourself access.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but unless your login matches that of whats on the old HD, then you are SOL. Try changing your username and passwword to that of the old PC and see what happens. You may also want to try editing the permissions on the folders for all access.

if your current account is set as the administrator, you should have no problem accessing files in other user accounts
