He should have won Supporting Actor for Lawrence of Arabia and Peter O'Toole should have won Best Actor.
His work in Lawrence is that of a true artist. He listened to David Lean about everything and when you have someone of that calibre giving you tips on how to bring off a better performance then you do listen.
He is also one of the best Backgammon players that you will ever come up against.

He is brilliant! A very intense actor. He plays a part and you forget he is acting. You believe he is that character. Did you know he is also a brilliant comedian? He passion is poker. He is a professional poker player. Something he learned during down times on movie sets.

I do admire him, and I also think he is fantastic, I loved his play in doctor zhivago, and a small role in 13th warrior
