Cows hold grudges, but sheep can recognise emotions.

"Cows have a complex mental life in which they bear grudges, nurture friendships and become excited by intellectual challenges...Cows are capable of strong emotions such as pain, fear and even anxiety about the future. But if farmers provide the right conditions, they can also feel great happiness."

"Sheep can recognise emotions in facial expression, not only in their species but also in humans"

Cattle are much more intelligent than people give credit for. They are also more curious. If you leave somethin out in a field and it sits still for even a few minutes, they will get curious and come check it out. Sometimes they will even lick it. They lick our trucks a lot especially if there are cubes on the back. They know that they are big and they can trample you and will if put in a corner.
