You really haven't given us much information. Welfare is not a destination, it is just one of the stops on the way as you prepare yourself for a better life.
From your question (and your spelling) it appears that you may need to go back to school. If you don't have a high school diploma your chances of getting a good job, no matter how long you work, are very slim.
If you do not plan to be on welfare permanently, but use it while you are trying to get an education to become a responsible, contributing member of society and provide a decent standard of living for yourself and your family, then I think it is okay.
If you do that, then in the long run through your taxes and other contributions to society you would have given back more than you have taken.

Take a low paying job... or better yet two low paying jobs. Welfare is a drain on society... if you can work, then get a frikkin job. You shouldn't even have to ask.
Of course, the fact that you did ask almost ensures that you will be trying to collect welfare.

You really should work. If you are capable of getting a job then there is no question to ask. It is better for you to work then to collect welfare. Working people do not want to hear about someone not working to support themselves and their family if they are perfectly capable of working. Get yourself a job. You will feel much better about yourself if you have a job and are not on welfare.

Take the job and earn your money. The rest of us don't want to pay for people on welfare who can actually work a job but don't want to.

You could always do what some of the people around here do; they collect welfare AND they take jobs that pay under the table.

take the job and give an honest days work AND something good will come of it... maybe a better job or you will meet an important person or whatever.... playing the welfare card gets you nowhere.
