Okay, first let me say, I thought you wanted us to pick a child for you...lol....I thought that was insane...lol

I would pick the first dog, the one your wife picked. I love big, strong dogs and he/she is well taken care of from what I see. Remember, those types of dogs are extremely loving, (and my parents trained dogs all their lives, so I know a lot about their temperaments.) little dogs or fufu dogs tend to have attitudes and can snap at children and be selfish.
He would be nice to walk down the street, I would feel proud. I have a mutt, part Doberman/German Shepard and he is the sweetest dog you could ever meet, but don't try to come into my house or mess with my son, me on the other-hand, he feels I can take care of myself but he definitely looks out for my son.
I do suggest you do some research and take time out with your wife to discuss why you want a dog, once you have listed your reason do a search for those particular topics and go from there. The one thing I hate, ( because I am an animal lover ) is when people obtain pets for the wrong reasons and then either let them stray or give them back.
So please, especially with your wife being pregnant and all, take everything into consideration and get the dog of your dreams and enjoy LIFE to the fullest.
Good Luck.

Out of both i'd pass for the finished dane, if it really is not any longer a organic Dane and it has dogo argentine or pit as lots of any individuals have said then depart it on my own. yet overall neither because you've a touch one on the way and infrequently canines get jealous and it would kinda be unfair to easily unload the canines because a baby got here alongside. I artwork at a canines pound and it takes position alot. I advise waiting until eventually the toddler is born and then at the same time as the youngster is two to 5 months and also you comprehend the way busy you're with the youngster to get a pup or a canines that has been round youthful ones. If both of both canines has been round youthful ones then pick that one, or get the canines prepared for the toddler now. Danes are sweet yet no longer continually conscious of there length, poodles are ok, and characteristic low dander and do not shed, yet overall it may well be acceptable to attend because there are alot of issues that ought to arise after the toddler is born. Oh, and pit bulls make reliable kin pets too, notwithstanding it really is suitable to get a pup, because if there's a touch one you actually favor to make positive the canines hasen't been abused.

I had a great pyrenees and she was wonderful with every kid of any age she ever met. she was also a walking stomach, and could clear the coffe table with one swipe of her tail. but the kids LOVED her! I'd talk to a breeder who doesn't have a stake in the sale about which is a better kid dog. and then I would wait until your baby is older and get a dog so the dog gets the idea that junior is also the boss. besides, some dogs like to eat diapers (YUCK!) not fun to clean up!

to be honest i would not have either your baby is due soon and you don't know the personalty's of these dogs yet yes most dogs can be trusted with children but are you 100% sure either of those dogs can be? a new baby will take up all your time wait a while until your child is older

Neither. Both breeds are normally one person dogs. You have a new baby coming into your "pack" and should not introduce a dog into the family at all.

That is so funny. Well my preference would be the same one that you like... but maybe you could do a search and find out which one is better with kids/ babies. Let that be the deciding factor. Good luck!
