Yep you can! I am proof of it - believe me it was quite a shock! I took my pill exactly as prescribed and never missed a dosage. I was on it for 7 years! Take a pregnancy test to be sure.

The birth control pill can produce same symptoms as pms and pregnancy for some women. Before you get upset or worried, take a pregnancy test with first morning urine and see if you are pregnant. You can get pregnant on the pill, many women have. It is about 98% effective depending on the pill and the users habits. You shouldnt have a problem telling your boyfriend if you are pregnant. Since he is the only one who were with and you have a child together already, then you should have an open discussion about your relationship. Good luck.

You can absolutely get pregnant on the pill. I am 16weeks now and was on the pill for 4 years. So you definately could be, but you're symptoms may just be period coming also. Your best bet is to take a pregnancy test. Don't see a negative and be sure it's negative until it's a couple days until you're expected period. But if it's positive, it's definately a positive. As for telling the boyfriend, just call him and tell him you think you are pregnant and will go to the doc to make sure, and just take it from there. Good luck.

Yes, you could possibly be pregnant. There are more factors to consider than just taking the pill. Is it possible you missed a day or took a pill at a time a lot later than you usually do? I learned from my doctor that consistency in the timing of taking the pill does have an effect - i.e. I take my pill each night before I go to bed - usually within the same 2 hour time period each night. Another factor to consider is if you are taking any antibiotics - they may decrease the effectiveness of your pills. The best advice I know is to check with your family doctor or clinic.

oh yeah you can! The pill is not 100% that is how i got pregnant with my first 2 babies! The 2 best forms of birth control that i have found was 1) the patch but they won't give that out anymore 2) Merania, its an IUD that lasts for 5 years and is more effective than getting your tubes tied. And then you just tell him, say hey boy do i have something to tell you! The pill didn't work very well and to put it bluntly were gonna have another baby!

did you take any antibiotics?!?!?!
if so, YES you can get pregnant on the pill .. I DID!
I had been on the pill for 10 years (non-stop) and then last October I got perscribed an antibiotic for an ear infection .. only took the antibiotic for 3 days and it completely de-activated my birth control pills! 10 years of pills like clockwork and one antibiotic .. boom! I am now 21 weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby boy :)
As for getting pregnant on the pill without antibiotics? there is a chance .. my friend got pregnant with her 2nd while being on the pill. No antibiotics or anything .. and she continued getting a period the first 3 months of her pregnancy which messed up her due dates.
good luck! God bless!

You ABSOLUTELY can get pregnant on the pill. I did. And I took mine every night at the same exact time for about 4 years.... then I became sexually active and got pregnant less than a month later.
I've been married almost 4 months and I am 12 weeks and one day pregnant.
It can and will happen..... the pill is not 100% effective!

Yes it is possible to get pregnant on the pill. Take a pregnancy test to make sure that you are pregnant before telling your ex-boyfriend. If the test comes out positive, he has a right to know that you are carrying his child. He may not believe you but you can prove it by DNA testing.

Yes, you definately can get pregnant on the pill.
The easiest way this little trick happens: taking antibiotics, and not being aware of the fact that antibiotics can interfere the birth control pill.
Then again, pregnancy symptoms are notorious for being "iffy". Sometimes you can have all of the symptoms and it turns out you're having an odd version of PMS, you're stressed, you're sick, or whatever.
Other times, you can be pregnant and show NO signs of pregnancy... well, you know, with the exception of the little baby forming in your tummy. :-)
Either way, I think the easiest thing to do is to go ahead and take an EPT, as long as you're one day late. If you aren't late, try to put it out of your mind (stressing about it can cause your period to be late... fun, ain't it?)
Also, I don't know the whole story, of course, but if you're not with your boyfriend anymore... be "not with him" in the Biblical sense. Easiest way to guarantee you aren't carrying his child.
Best of luck to you!

I got pregnant 2 times when on the pill. I dont know how you should tell him. But first I would find out if you are pregnant then TAKE CARE of yourself by getting to a DR.( because getting preg on the pill may be a little risky) then figure out how to tell him.
