Does any body know about the law about how old you have to be to by a pet by your self?

I want to know so i can blow my parents with facts about this.

I think its 13 in the uk im from the uk by the way

I Am Not Aware Of This But I Think You Dont Need To Be Any Age , But Obviously If You Were Like 5 And Wanted A Hamster You Would Need A Parent With You !
I Think Its Only Adopting Animals That You Need To Be Over A Certain Age

When you have your own home and can be a responsible person.

The facts are your parents are responsible for you by law until you are 16 and it is they who call the shots until then.

Once you have reached 16 I expect they will be glad to see the back of you.

Probably when you can afford the home that the pet stays in.

In the meantime, you could probably be a volunteer at one of the humane society facilities in your area or you could be a volunteer at a local pet store. That would blow your parents away wouldn't it?

I doubt there is a law. I assume you live with your parents, which means you don't have a house where you can keep a pet, unless they allow it. Adults who don't own their place have to have their landlord's permission to get a pet too.

There is no legal age of buying pets but adopting them is a different story that depends on the agency that is adopting them.
