In my country, private schools are much better than public schools. Since in public schools students are taught in local books while in private schools they are taught in American or Britain books.

Hmmmm.... good question.

There are pros and cons to each one, but I think public schools are much better than people give them credit for. In a public school setting, students are exposed to an environment that mirrors what they will likely encounter in the 'real world' after they leave school. There are rules, regulations, and policies that are strictly enforced. There is a social structure within the school that provides students interactions with others they won't find elsewhere. There may be wider range of courses available in a public school system, since they are held to certain standards for accreditation.

Although private schools get very good reviews, and they offer prestige, the downside is that tuition rates tend to be extremely high-- rivalling that of public colleges and universities. Also, some private schools, as well as public school academies, offer specialized curricula which may limit experience in vocational/technical fields or cooperative learning experiences. Private schools are more exclusive and may not offer the proper support for learning disabled students.

Another common problem at private schools is inequality and lack of diversity within the student population. Sometimes students of parents who donate money to the school end up getting preferential treatment or milder discipline for bad behavior. Also, students at private institutions are likely to all come from the upper-middle to wealthy upper class.

I think it depends both have pros and cons.
The pros to public schools is sometimes there are more opportunities depending on how good the public school is. Another pro for public schools is you meet variety of different people which is important to expand your mind to other people and ideas. A con for public school is sometimes there are public school that do not have the best teachers and resources due to the lack of money provided from the government. Another con for public school is some public school have unruly students and the teachers can not seem to get control of the class because of that the students that do want to learn can not. Another Con for public school is that most public schools have bigger classrooms and it can sometimes become difficult for students to have a one on one with the teachers. Pros to Private Schools are you will usually have a one on one with the teacher and student because class sizes are smaller. Another pro for private schools is that some private schools have a lot more money and they can participate in activities that public schools probably can not. Cons for private schools is that you won't always have a variety of people. Another con for private schools is that some private schools have disadvantages if they don't have a number of people sponsoring and helping fund the school. This could cause students to lose out on opportunties that public schools have because the government provides public school with the money they need. Hope that helped you.

Private schools are better in my opinion i attend one. Though i do go to a Catholic School i hate my religion class. For not being exposed to the real world that is a load of bull****. The teachers really care about how you do and are willing to help you in any way they can. There is a better student to teacher ratio. The curriculum is harder so if you send a child to a private school for elementary and middle school then they will be better prepared if you send them to a public high school. Since tuition goes up a lot when you move up into high school. The religious part of my school i am not especially fond of since they preach all that peace and love bull****. I watch the news and the read the newspaper like many of kids in my class and we know about how the real world is.

I've gone to both, when I went to Private I hated it. I'm currently enrolled in a public school, and its much better, you have no uniforms, you get to make a variety of friends, and all in all its just better, but then again that's only my opinion.

Private schools in my opinion are a really good way to get a really good education and do put you at a higher success rate in college. I know that everyone says that private school kids go crazy in college but SO DO Publich school kids, their parents are just used to it at that point. For an education i say go private for an "experience" go public!

There are some good teachers in public schools I think the only difference is basic standards manors expectations and the main reason parental interest and guidance in their off springs and the need to get what they have paid for.I think the standards of the teachers are the same.

you get a better education at private schools, but you understand life more if you go to a public school. ive been to both and currently attend one of the worst schools in the area, and its taught me alot about people.
and also
you get alot of snobby kids at private schools and they can be pretty harsh and competitive.
