Okay, I'm getting my lip pierced, and I need all the information that you can give me about lip piercings, and a good website to buy the lip rings from???? I appreciate the answers!!!!!

And call me crazy, but I'm letting my best friend pierce it for me.......... because you have to be 16 here to get it done.

Be careful with that, if she does it wrong or too close to the edge, it will migrate out, and leave a nasty scar! Make sure it's outside of the lip pigment, and straight through (any angling will either scratch ur teeth to hell, or have the back of the ring ontop of ur lip.)

You can go practically anywhere online for jewelry, just make sure it's the proper gauge (width) for your piercing.
One good bit of advice is to get sea salt and do a saltwater rinse after EVERYTHING you do with your mouth, from eating to smoking, for the next two weeks or at least as long as you have swelling. If you feel the need to use mouthwash, dilute it a bit (3 parts water to one part mouthwash), and you're gonna want to wait a day before you start brushing your teeth again. My hubby (who has 3 lip piercings) sat back and watched me make that mistake the night I had my lower lip pierced. Then he sat back and laughed as I suffered through that 30 minutes of minty agony...
If you don't tolerate pain well, you're gonna want to stock up on Advil, too... and crushed baby aspirin works wonders if you're still red and irritated after the swelling has gone down.

Well if you google body jewelry it will give you a ton of sites. I have the corner of my lip pierced and I love it. The next week is sore, but after that you should be fine. Make sure you use mouth wash to keep the inside clean.

dude! u will need mouth wash and i used ear peircing cleaner on mine to help...you cant kiss for a month or it will hurt like hell!! but yea peace!
