Google it and see if it's poisonous, if it is then just get rid of it fast and quick. If it's not, then just move it to an area of your house/apartment where it can see most of the place for a few hours to let it adjust. While they're sitting there, go to a local pet store and see what they would advise to feed it, keep it in and give it some exercise. This kind of animal can move around a lot, so give it lots of space and attention. ( but dont annoy it...) Good luck with your new pet...Later!

Let it go. Wild caught reptiles make very poor pets. They may be able to tame down, but the real problem is the health of the animal. All wild reptiles naturally carry parasites, and the stress of capture and confinement often causes their immune system to deteriorate enough that the parasites can become a major health problem. It can even cost the snake its life. Think of the well being of the animal and let it go where you found it. There are enough snakes being bred in captivity, and they are cheap enough that there is no reason to pull a snake out of the wild. Buy a captive bred specimen and I guarantee it will live a longer and happier life.

keep a snake that has been living in the wild its entire life is NOT a good idea. you will most likely never be able to tame it or handle it without getting bit.
