we, the germans, hate making war (except for defense). So we wondered, why you follow the u.s. and a. to the Iraq war?
What are the reasons behind a so called alliance of the good.
What Blair wants to manifest?

Depressing to see nobody has yet come up with an answer based on the facts.
You will recall that Tony Blair persuaded George Bush to go to the UN to try to get a clear mandate to invade Iraq. Although this failed, they did try.
Also, Tony Blair persuaded George Bush to sign up to the "Road Map" for a settlement in Palestine.
I think these two initiatives were the conditions under which Tony Blair promised to support the US led invasion. Sadly Bush has relegated the Road Map to the back burner.
So, I feel that Blair, while supporting our long term ally, genuinely attempted to do the right thing and get UN backing and a commitment to a Palestinian Peace Process.

well lets put it this way, think of a section of the world that has declared open war on the west and that includes Germany, Sadam and his tin pot boys were the excuse to make a battlefield for the allies. Now the real problems are comming to public attention Iran. With the allies in-between Iran and Saudi it give a lot of moderate states out there a comfortable feeling, but and this is a big but there will be a huge conflict out there sooner rather than later, you see religion is the root of all evil wars and that certain religion in the world cannot impose its thoughts on the rest of us, add to that the control of oil and thats the why.
One thing George Bush has got right is the way he says PEOPLE WANT FREEDOM AND FREEDOM IS DEMOCRACY so all the clerics and mullahs will like all dictators fail in the end, at the end of the cold war I think most countries thought that major conflict was at an end, but the middle eastern dictatorships saw their main chance with a weak Russia and a West that reacts to every rifle shot on the TV like scared appeasers, in fact its not unlike what happened in Europe in the late thirties onwards this is one thing the terrorists and terror sponser states fail to understand when rest of the world really decides enough is enough they will get war like they have never seen.
The reason why Briton and U.S.A always stick together is simple we are really one and the same people with about the same values, just read our two main documents the constitution and the magna carta.
This is one of the reasons Great Briton will never be part of Europe no matter what our stupid politicians spout on about sorry about that Germany and France but we can never be part of the European mainland we do not have to rely on the goodwill of our neighbours, when our best buddies are U.S.A , Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, ect.

This is an easy one to answer,
In 1914 and 1939 Britain went to war against Germany in order to defend democracy.
The simple reason for the present conflict in Iraq was to get rid of another Despot, this should have been done During Desertstorm, but once again the French gave up the fight and refused to go any further than the Iraq / Kuwait Border. The French ( A nation of cowards) called upon the UN security council to end the war in my belief so they could sell Iraq new weapons.
For a nation that hates war & only defends itself the Germans killed Millions of innocent civilians , not only in the Concentration camps and gas-chambers but by they`re indescriminate bombing of non military targets.
By the way unlike the Germans and French , Britain believes in Freedom and Democracy, it`s a pity the rest of our so called NATO allies would make up they`re minds what side of the fence they`re on and show some backbone for once.
But then again the French and Germans have been beaten in war so many times I guess that sitting on the fence is all they can do.

Blair lied while he lead us into Iraq, this is largely it LIES and Gordon Brown supported him. As for Afghanistan we are helping the legally elected government of that united states of america as area of the U.N. besides the incontrovertible fact that there could be a great variety of political rigidity positioned onto the UN by utilising the USA of united statesa. for his or her very own hobbies that's something that annoys lots of people who experience that the USA of united statesa. needs to regulate the worldwide and that the united kingdom government do each little thing the US asks. As for a element relating to squaddies being killed I agree that each physique squaddies/Sailors/RAF are volunteers and know the risks while they sign in it continues to be problematical on the families while they're killed. i became interior the British military and my son is going in next month, he's ordinary with of the risks comparable to I did.

You don't like making war? That's a new 1. Who's the 1 who invaded Poland and started the WWII? Anyway, that isn't a war it was an invasion and Tony Blair's the 1 kissing George W Bush's a**e. I think he lives in fear of the U.S.A so he teams up woth them and bullies the small countries.

For some reason, Tony Blair saw fit to lick George W. Bush's boots, despite the fact that most of the Brits weren't in favor of going to war.

British and American interference in Iran in 1953 is one of the most direct causes of the rise of anti-western Islamic fascism.
The British also created the Palestine-Israel mess.
The Brits know they are on Islam's naughty list.

I shall save you all the pseudo political reasons. The cold simple fact is;
Britain is the whore to her American pimp.
The high class whore needs the strength of her pimp in order to conduct her business with security. The pimp needs his high class whore for no other reason than to occasionally lend an air of sophistication to his redneck belligerent ego.
Should you wish me to explain it in a more poetic manner please ask.
