I mean which martin's movie deserves more the oscar .

It's not the right movie!!!...That's what I *hate* about the Academy, they try to "pay up" for past omissions with movies that are less than deserving.
For my money he should've gotten it for Goodfellas (one of my fave movies *ever*), Taxi Driver, The Aviator and The Age of Innocence, he should have 4 Oscars in his mantelpiece right now, instead of 1 for The Departed.
Last night's Oscar should've been for Stephan Frears or Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu.

I suppose he's done so many "important" movies, I haven't even seen the Departed but Goodfellas and Taxi Driver were both excellent.
Now that he's won , will he get out of the way so others can have some funding to make good movies too?

I've seen Taxi Driver, Gangs of New York, The Aviator and The Departed. I think The Departed is the most deserving of those.

he deserves it, he deserved it along time ago but the Departed is oscar-worthy, it is not his best film, i would say Taxi driver, Raging Bull and The King of Comedy deserved an Oscar.

I really enjoyed Goodfella's but Taxi Driver has to be his best work.
