I'm the coordinator at this site where I work. I admit things aren't perfect around there. But I feel kinda bad because this employee is ALWAYS going over my head. I don't know what to do and its making me feel aweful.
She Emails: My boss, She calls My boss, She complains My boss. but she doesn't come to me.
How can I deal with this help please.

Here is a suggestion, talk to your boss about bringing her in to the office at the same time with your boss and ask her why she does not come to you first about problems or complaints since you are the coordinator, but also make it clear about the business command structure for who she should contact first before going to the next person in command about a complaint if problems can't be solved. Maybe next time she will come to you.

First deal with your other employees, call a meeting and express you concerns to everyone regarding chain of command. Then contact your boss advising him about your situation and your desire to, depending on how good your problem child is, discipline and/or remove your problem. It's hard to dismiss someone if you've never done it before. If you "kinda feel bad" then you're not a good coordinator. It may be hard for you, but it is necessary to make an example out of her, to prevent others who may try the same tactic.

However if she is that good and you desperately need her, then step down and let her take your job. Good Luck.

Go to your boss and tell that person how you feel about sister so and so. Request that your boss allow you to sit in on the "complaint" and also request that your boss not allow "***** session" emails or phone calls. If sister so and so can't say it to your boss' face, with you present tell them that is infringing on your rights to not have your character defamed. Contact an attorney if it does not stop and start the litigation process if necessary. Hopefully your boss will not let it go that far.

It is definitley a chain of command breakdown. Ther COC exists for a reason; so that everyone stays informed. The problem is also with your boss for allowing it to happen. He should direct this woman through you first. You should speak to him about this and let know it's important you are part of the conversation otherwise things can and will get missed.

You need to talk to your boss about it. SHe's breaking the 'chain-of-command' and thats not productive in any work environment. You and you're boss need to come to an agreement and then you need to counsel and document it with the employee. Your boss has bigger issues to deal with, and this needs to be dealt with - otherwise your position may become unnecessary.
