Best way to do it would be to find a bank in Barbados that has offices in your present country and open the account in your country 1st.

I just typed in "open a bank account online" in google and got a ton of banks that say they will. I don't know if any of them are in Barbados though and I don't know what proof they want to prove you are who you say you are.

Ooops. I then typed in open bank account online in barbados and clicked on one of the links and got something that said it had been hacked by the Turkish Hacker and now my computer is messed up so I have to go run a bunch of scans on it. Be careful. It was supposed to have been some bank in Barbados but it wasn't.

I doubt it, as you will still need to go into a branch to show the necessary forms of identification. Banks (in the UK) usually only allow you to set up a new account online if you already have an existing account with them. However, it may be possible with an international bank if you already have an address/identification with the new address on it. Contact you bank in the UK to see if they have a branch in Barbados.

If you have money you know the answer. Onlne? The world does not work like that and be carefull to not lose your money. If you are a citizen or have legal residency you can of course open an account. Do you have neither? Barbados is part of the British Commonwealth. Any company telling you that your money is safe whatever the place...... you will lose it.

You can apply online now and get the paperwork in order so that will cut down on time once you move over there but before they can open it you will need to produce identification
