It's not just spelling. There are few grammatically correct messages posted in some areas, and many postings simply make no sense. Some of this, of course, is that Answers is used by some people whose native language is not English. But I suspect the majority represent a failure in the American education system to put enough emphasis on the importance of communicating clearly and in correct form. These considerations are matters of courtesy to the people you expect to read your messages, and they also insure that your message is understood as you meant it to be.
Please do not confuse poor spelling and different national usages. "Centre" is incorrect in American English but proper usage in a number of other English-speaking nations. But the semi-literate postings one all too often encounters are just plain sloppy, inconsiderate, and ignorant.

It is not you. Some people don't know how to spell. Then there are others that type fast and don't realize they spelled a word wrong. and don't bother with the check spelling.

It isn't just you. A lot of people don't take the time to use the spell check, and many of the younger people seem to think it's okay to type as if they're text messaging. It does get on my nerves too.

No its not just you, I have seen so many misspellings of simple words like 5 minutes ago I saw someone spell the word "special" wrong and the spelt it "Spechal" I mean this Is like simple Grade 1 spelling, does any one not notice the spell checker!

I know I saw that. But just a helpful hint don't diss someone if they don't know how to spell just kind of say, '' Um... I think that is spelled like this." Don't just come out and say people can't spell!!! Cause some people can!!!

It's not just you. I have also realized that. Maybe they make mistakes when they are typing, but there is a "check spelling" button above, so maybe they do need to retake spelling class.

No, it's certainly not you....I have had a peeve with this for so long on here...it bothers me in life in general, but with spell check so close, you would think they'd use it!!!!

all ur spellings r fine, actually ther r some people wit poor grammar and spellins too, so they r at fault not v people, u may tel all my spellins r not correct, u kno its d chattin lang, wich i got used to, newayz thank u for d 2 pts
