I'm going to buy a laptop in the next month. I looooove my iPod, and although it would have made me laugh a couple of years ago, I'm considering getting a MacBook. What are the advantages and disadvantages of an Apple vs. a PC? Apples are a bit more expensive, but I think it might sync better with my iPod.

Thoughts?

Apple dont get virus's like pc's do and hardly crash and need secruity updates all the time like windows. Apple is a more reliable computer in software wise.

I tried windows vista for about 2 hours and it is the most over rated piece of crap ever. it askes for your permission about everything you do and i eventually just turned off all the extra security on it cause it was getting retarted it asked me 3 times if i was sure i wanted to get online.

If you plan on doing serious gaming then you have to go PC but other than that Apple and PC are almost the same.

Back when macs had powerpc cpus, they WERE for video and music. But now, macs are nothing more then a pc, same parts, no bios, forced to use os x freebsd based linux. why get a obsolete os and overcharged pc that only 1-2% of the world uses?

unless you plan on doing a lot of video editing and photo editing dont bother with a mac. Stick with a PC, most programs are designed for PCs and are just generally easier to use. MP
