A while back I was talking with someone at a boot sale. They told me that they had moved to the USA from the UK over 20 years ago, and were therefore US patriots. The conversation went on, and got round to the NHS, after them estolling the virtues of the US. They were so blaze about the fact that they had come back to the UK for a few months, so that the wife could have an operation done on the NHS, as it would have cost too much for her to have the operation in the USA; and they didn't want to pay, or claim on their health insurance otherwise the premiums would go up.

Why is there not a fail safe in the NHS to stop this happening!!!!!!!!

This sort of thing is costing all of us money from our taxes, and How many more ex- pats are doing this.

Is it a case of soft old Britain again.

i think of that became into the triumphing opinion in the previous, yet i've got self assurance maximum individuals are waking as much as the thought we at the instant are no longer the rustic we was once. We lead the international in no longer something different than extravagant existence sort, and since the middle classification is disappearing, even it is changing. in basic terms backward, rural, conservative rednecks think of america is even a shadow of what it was once. I blame greed, corrupt management, and apathy. this is real that we p.c.. our very own leaders, yet we are frequently forced to in basic terms p.c.. the lesser of two evils. Politicians opt for a definite quantity of corruption and recreation-enjoying to also have a huge gamble of being effectively elected to an workplace. i do no longer think our gadget could be fastened. this is a ticking bomb waiting to blow up so we are in a position to have a clean commence. i think of the autumn of the Soviet Union is a glimpse into our destiny.

Yes, I had this operation recently, came back to see the good ole NHS, removed a bit of France from my ar se, due to me sitting idle all these years.

George Bush is coming next week, needs a Blair removing from his ar se.

Not so. These people have PAID into the system for years and remain British citizens all their lives - therefore they are entitled to NHS service.

Your question might have been better formulated of you had asked why it is that 2 MILLION immigrants are 'entitled' to NHS service (and DSS, and dental treatment and housing) when they have paid NOTHING into the system EVER.

this isnt that unusual, a friend discovered she had breast cancer, 20 minutes later she was on a plane from boston... her insurance wasnt worth the paper it was written on... and once a brit always a brit... the red book says so (passport)

im more concerned about foreigners turning up and always needing triple heart bypasses.. its never emergency chiropody is it... stop them before you start to apportion blame to Ex pats...who at least paid some tax.. unlike our freeloading economic tourists

They must be still UK citizens and they and their parents payed into the NHS so I think they would be entitled to that.
