On many questions you will often see all but one person with a thumbs down. Obviously, some one is hoping for a best answer, but why give good answers a thumbs down. I just find it pety and silly, anyone else? I know this site is addicting, but seriously maybe people should find something else to do.

I am not losing sleep over it or anything, I just think it is funny that people are that obsessed with getting the best answer.

Agreed, it is silly. It is so obvious who gave all the thumbs down. Obviously some people are petty and childish. Those people never seem to get the best answer though so I guess it all works out in the end.

Most times when I get a thumbs down it's over an everyday plain answer not when I speak my mind. And yes that is mean spirited to do that.

i agree...i only give thumbs down if the answer is totally unrelated to the ? asked.
