Possibly it'll not start, or run badly. If you get the leads on the wrong plugs, you'll have a monumental misfire.
EDIT: Ah, seen your addition. No, it's unlikely to do any damage but I'd suggest a complete new set, if one's packed up the others will be close behind.

so long as it has the same resistance as the u/s one it won't detract from the vehicles performance. if different as most s/plugs are resistave and two resistors in series add this can reduce spark. it's generally best to replace leads in sets i;e if ones u/s the others can't be far behind. after all the conductor is only like a piece of string impregated with carbon

When your car as been running a few minutes stop the engine and feel to see if the plug lead is hot ,if it is the same temperature as the rest of the leads it will be OK .

Sounds like you did something most wouldn't have thought of. No, it will not damage anything. Possibly cause radio interference but that's it. If one went bad it will not be long for the others to start breaking. Best to buy a new set and throw in the trunk or boot.

sounds to me like you had a dodgy lead, youve put a lead on from another car and its working fine.
I cant see there being a problem, you would have more of a problem with wrong plugs are if they were badly fitted.
If you are cocerned you can get the right lead from a shop ad replace it, my guess is you probably wont even notice the difference between the two.

If you mean "type" you would probably just get radio interfence. If you mean put them on the wrong plugs, you'd either get no engine run, backfiring and/or rough running engine. You should make the question clearer so we'd be able to answer better.
