Nice example. Yes when people talk about school prayer they are really talking about Christian prayers and believe that this country was founded on Christian values. Well, it used to belong to the Indians and there is no outcry for sun gods, buffalo gods, etc. So if the country changes radically will Christians be happy to say well thats the prayer of the day and so we support prayer. Naw, no way. Radical Christians push for only Christian prayers in school, not anyone else's because they believe that they are a world majority. So if you can stack the Supreme Court for school prayer you might be hurting yourself. Maybe the whole idea of division of state and religion was a really good idea that should not be subverted. My kids learned religious values and prayers in my home and at church (and must attend Sunday school) I really don't want it any other way.

Back when prayer was in school,( if you were actually paying attention in homeroom you would know this) prayer (any prayer to any God) was not announced over the loud speaker, merely a moment of silence was observed so that students if they wished could start their day with prayer.
If a prayer was spoken over the intercom, I would adopt the same methods used by those whiners that got Nativity scenes removed from courthouses at Christmas and replaced Merry Christmas with Happy Holiday.
What a shame that it is now considered fashionable to be faithless and secular? That doesn't speak well for our society, perhaps the rest of the world wouldn't have such a low opinion of us if we actually displayed some values and worshipped God without shame.

I believe in seperation of church and state, but that only goes to the government itself. I believe that a person should be allowed to to pray in school if he or she wants too, under the 1st amendment. That goes for christian, hindu, buddhist, islamic, judism, or any other person's religion. So I would have no problem with it. I don't believe in a manditory prayer, that is a use of force and I would go against it.

I would demand that they say a Christian, Orthodox Christian, and a Hindu prayer. NOT! That would take up the whole day!
Prayer is meant to be a private thing between you and the God you believe in. Prayer of any religion should not be forced on anyone. If children want to pray to God, or Allah, in their personal time at school. They should, and not be mocked for it. Besides, how is anyone going to stop a child from praying. I did it in my head, and didn't find it necessary to fold my hands for God to listen.

Prayer has never been over the loud speaker. But if each child wanted to individually say it or not say it in the class room quietly than I see no problem with it. prayer is a personal time anyway.

They would give a moment of silence. Then you can pray to whomever you want or stand there and pick your nose. You can pray anytime you want now as long as it does not disrupt others. Congress should stay out of it.

protest- there should be no forced/mandated prayer in school.
if students need to pray they can get a pass out of class, do it a lunch, or quietly in their desks

I'd laugh my @ss off and just say that they had it coming to them, asking to mix church and state. Damn foolishness, didn't we get out of the Dark Ages centuries ago?
