I would not support it. However, if they did every religion, I would be ok with it.

I am agnostic, and I disagree with broadcasting prayer of any kind over the speakers, but I completely support giving the students the right to pray if they wish to do so. I don't care what God they pray to- it is their right to do that.
Actually, I completely support 5 minutes of "reflection" time before class- gives the students time to pray if they want to, and if they don't pray, they can just relax and get their thought together before school starts.
So, to answer your questions- prayer should not be illegal, but it should not be required, and I would be annoyed if the school was pushing ANY religion.

Well, since the people who are the most obnoxious about "prayer in school" are christians, you know they would FREAK!!

That is the whole reason for separation of church and state... so that no one religion is favored over another...
