When someone is trying to influence somebody else, they usually deal directly with that person they want to influence. With a one on one situation, it is easier for someone to learn what buttons to push to manipulate others when dealing with them one on one.
Being inspired usually comes from someone observing someone else from a distance, or as part of a crowd and getting the feeling that, while he IS speaking to the masses, it feels like he is speaking to me, or, I would like to be able to do what he can do.
Best I can come up with.

To be influenced, on the face of the word tends to be negative. (Although not true)
I was "Inspired" The world is listening.

there is a fine line, but i would think that being influenced would affect decision making and being inspired would help you come to your own conclusions.

I feel that 'influence' is someone being emotionally moved by another person whereas 'inspired' is someone being moved emotionally by another person's work

i think "influenced" can be positive or negative, for instance, someone can be a "bad influence" on you. when you are "inspired", its in a postive way.
