I am interested in finding a Literary Agent for a Biblical Fiction book that I am writing. Can anyone give me any pointers for finding one?

Biblical Fiction is different than Christian Fiction--my story is from the Old Testament, and is NOT evangelical. It has no Christian message, is merely the re-telling of a fairly unknown Biblical Story.

Here's a list of literary agents who represent clients in the Christian fiction market:

This page has general info about literary agents:

You can do an internet search but your best bet is The Writer's Market Deluxe Edition. It's a hefty price, ranging $50-$60, but it lists all the markets for different genres and also lists agents. The Deluxe edition comes with a CD that gives you 1-year subscription to the Writer's Market online, which they update constantly. You can find it in any place like Barnes and Noble or Borders.

Also, don't leave out some Christian publishers when searching (if you go to a small press you may want to skip an agent because agents take fees and sometimes it's not worth it) because some publish fantasy or alternative history or alternative takes (unless the ending is decidedly anti-Christian in nature) on scripture.

in the experience that your tale has D&D characters or worldwide then no nicely-known writer will positioned up it. i do no longer know approximately Wizards of the Coast and whether or no longer they have the rights to positioned up such books. yet, you haven't any longer have been given the main appropriate to positioned up what quantities to fanfic without permission of whoever holds the publishing rights or copyright. So, Tor and Daw are out as are all the different publishers until eventually you get permission from the powers that be to positioned up this novel. i do no longer know approximately the different writer. on the Wizards of Coast internet site, you could positioned up without or with an agent. If their settlement is negotiable, i will attempt to get an agent first by way of fact brokers can get you greater money and bigger words to your settlement. yet, whether or no longer you may get an agent for this actual writer additionally relies upon on how a lot develop they pay. If the develop is basically too little then an agent would possibly no longer have an interest.

Do an Internet search for "literary agents".

I would be interested in reading your book when it is finished.

Object, possible film rights.

Do not forget to get a copyright for it.

I don't know about agents but if you haven't read "Fallen" by David Maine I think you'd find it interesting. It is a story about Adam & Eve and Cain & Abel and it's very good.
