The location of burrow is in a grass and stone bank in North Cornwall, UK. The material being used changes overnight which means the entrance is being used. If neither stoat nor weasel is doing this any suggestions as to what it might be?

The entrance to the burrow is about 1.5" in diameter and is in what we call a Cornish Hedge - a stone wall & mud wall that then grows shrub and grass. Overnight last night, Monday 26th, the animal used leaves and mud to re-seal the entrance after its nightly doings. There are appear to be other entrances (same burrow or others) within a yard or two of the same hedge but usually under roots of trees or shrubs.
