being 60 in june will i be able to get more than just my state pension as i am a seperated from my husband

I am in exactly your position and was in fact, coincidentally, onto the Inland Revenue only this morning.
Yes, you are entitled to something from your ex-husband's contributions but you will need his National Insurance Number, date of birth and address.

If you are referring to Social Security, you cannot collect benefits until you are 62. If you wait until 65 to begin collecting, you get full benefits - at 62, benefits are reduced.

Divorced spouses who were married at least 10 years and haven't remarried can collect SocSec on their husbands earning record if it is greater than what hers would be.

Pick up a copy of "What Every Woman Should Know" from your local SocSec office. It has a lot of reallly good information and will explain many things to you.

At 60, you are not eligible for these benefits except in the case of disability, etc.
