Yes, Rex Grossman still hasn't grown into a NFL QB. Yeah, the Bears won 10 games, but his defense gave him a short field every possession. Plus, the defenses in the NFC are weak. Jeff Garcia is a proven NFL QB and could easily take the Bears back to the Super Bowl and give them a legitimate chance at winning. If anything he'd make a great back-up for when Grossman really screws up, and may even scare Rex a little bit and make him try harder.

NO! the bears should not go after jeff garcia. garcia only did well in philly because he fit into the offense perfectly. If he moves on to a team with a west coast offense, he will perform well. San Fransisco has a west coast offense and he performed well, Philly has a west coast offense, we performed well. The two places he didnt do well in were Detroit and Cleveland where he didnt fit right into the systems. Chicago has Rex Grossman, many people believe he was a bad quarterback last year, but he had a decent year....his performance at the beginning of the year was astonishing. The bears have their quarterback in Rex and he will lead them to another exciting year in the year to come....

No they should not be mortaging their future on the hands of Jeff Garcia. They will lose Grossman for sure - and unless you plan on drafting a new QB, Garcia is nothing more than a one year game plan. Anyway, why would you pay for Garcia when you already paid a hefty sum for your current backup: Brian Griese.

No. Garcia won't help the QB situation in Chicago. What they really need is a QB coach to work with Grossman. He needs serious help with his decision making and footwork.

Jeff Garcia woudn't fit in the Bears offensive scheme. Garcia is a WCO (west coast offense) quarterback who can only succeed in a WCO scheme. It would be a horrible pick-up.

The Bears need to obtain a younger cheaper QB. With the salary cap so tight these days and teams demanding winners now, it would ruin the cap. Trust me, I was my beloved 49ers go that route with older players for a quick fix and it has taken them several years to finally turn it around.

No. If they decide to get away from Grossman, they'll draft a QB and bring him along, using Grossman as a tutor.
